Adam Kaufman, MD

Dr. Kaufman is a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. He helps patients with a range of difficulties, from depression, anxiety, and ADHD to work and relationship issues.

He helps his patients work toward healing and growth by using therapy, psychiatric medications, and complementary/alternative options.

Dr. Kaufman previously worked as the Medical Director at the Mental Health Association of Westchester, where he promoted a humanistic approach to mental health treatment in mental health clinics. Before that he worked at the Parachute Program, utilizing a team-based psychotherapeutic approach to working with people with complex mental health problems.

Education & Experience:

  • Psychiatric training at New York University

  • Attended medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College

  • Fellowship in Psychoanalysis at the Psychoanalytic Association of New York

  • B.A. with Honors in Psychology at Stanford University

Dr. Adam Kaufman

Tara Gilhooly, PhD

Dr. Gilhooly has training in both cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches to therapy. She also specialize in a research-based psychotherapy for treating chronic pain and other physical symptoms such as dizziness or gastrointestinal distress (for which medical causes have been ruled out) called Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). This is a mind-body approach based in neuroscience. She has experience working in inpatient, outpatient, primary care integration, and urgent care settings.

Maggie Brother, PMHNP-BC

Some of the issues I can help with are depression, disinterest, inattention, low motivation, excessive worry, anxiety or trauma. These problems are overlooked in healthcare but can be paralyzing to the individual experiencing them. I provide medication management for new and existing mental health diagnoses. My goal is to give you the tools to be the best version of you.

Serena Chan, PMHNP-BC

Serena Chan is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specializing in medication management. She helps patients ages 16 and older.

Having worked on inpatient behavioral health units, Serena has experience with patients from diverse backgrounds facing a wide array of complex issues. Her expertise includes the treatment of ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, and PTSD.

Serena has a thoughtful and compassionate approach to treatment. By taking into account the whole person, she works with patients to develop flexible and effective treatment plans that help them move toward the lives they want to live.

Education & Experience:

  • Psych NP with Honors from City University of New York - Hunter College

  • Inpatient experience at Four Winds Hospital and Montefiore Nyack Hospital

  • Outpatient experience at MHA Westchester and Westchester Jewish Community Services

  • Worked in Family Medicine for more than a decade

David Petti, LCSW

David Petti is a licensed clinical social worker who uses CBT, CPT, DBT, and mindfulness strategies to provide person-centered and trauma-informed care.

David helps clients with a wide range of challenges, from relationship issues, work and academic challenges, loss and grief, and generalized anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, depression, and bipolar disorder.

By providing a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, experiences, and goals, David offers a collaborative process with a focus on helping clients develop a sense of safety and control, trust in others, personal self-awareness, effective coping skills, and positive self-efficacy

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of the New York University Silver School of Social Work.

  • Program Director & Team Leader at OnTrackNY at the Mental Health Association of Westchester

Carolyn Case, PMHNP

Carolyn Case is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with over three decades of experience and expertise in psychopharmacology. She helps people grappling with mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and an array of other psychological challenges.

With warmth and a sense of humor, Carolyn tailors her treatment to each individual patient to help them along their path of recovery and growth.

Education & Experience:

  • Has experience in psychiatric inpatient, substance use detox, and rehab settings

  • Previously worked for years as a Family Nurse Practitioner, serving as the primary care provider for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
